'Blasphemy' is the act or practice of saying or doing something not in keeping with the word of God. If you do it, E might strike you down with a bolt of lightning. Or was that Zeus?

Contemporarily, it may also be possible to blaspheme against non-divine entities, like the Vegetarian Industrial Complex.
